The Artist Katie Rushing

KATt is a self taught mixed medium artist from Pensacola, Florida. She likes to create art from found objects that she finds. She finds beauty in the most ordinary things (what some people call junk) egg shells, feathers, clock works – to name a few.

She is inspired by nature, ocean life, mystical images, pets, music and vibrations of colors.

She uses recycled materials, inks, paints, chemicals and found objects in her art work and jewelry. She loves experimenting with chemical reactions and wax to create unusual art pieces.

Some might call her an alchemist in her life and in her art, because she loves transformation, recycling, repurposing.
